As a central Alabama native, I have always felt a deep connection to my Southern roots. I love people, storytelling and simple living. My most fond memories are ones spent on my family farm, cooking with my Mom and sisters, drinking tea on the porch swing with my Dad and spending time with my Grandmother, listening to her tell stories from the past. 

When coming to college, I met so many new people who had inspiring backgrounds and stories to tell. This is where my love for feature and lifestyle writing began. Since high school, I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to share these passions with the world. 

I am excited and eager to learn the ropes of the media field, one story at a time.
